Do you really know everything a guest needs when staying at a hotel? This is one of the key factors you should analyze before opening a hotel. Furthermore, given that trends change, you’ll also need to continually reassess these priorities.
According to a study conducted by Qualtrics, a U.S.-based company specializing in customer insights, the following conclusions were drawn based on data collected from 1,000 guests.

Priorities for Guests
Room Cleaning
The top priority for guests. They expect the hotel to be completely clean, especially the guest rooms. To achieve this, the hotel should hire a high-quality housekeeping staff that not only keeps everything in top condition but is also discreet and courteous.
WiFi
The second priority on the list is Wi-Fi, to prevent guests from having to use their mobile data throughout their trip. The fact is, having Internet access is such a necessity that the vast majority of people prioritize it over a free breakfast. Ideally, Wi-Fi would be free, but the truth is that users usually don’t mind paying for it.
A Quiet Room
To get the most out of our vacation, we obviously need a quiet room. If that’s not the case, complaints are sure to follow, which could end up destroying the reputation the hotel has worked so hard to build.
Free breakfast
More than just free—it should be included in the price. Even if you’re actually paying for it, the fact that there’s no additional charge increases customer satisfaction.
Free parking
In this list of guests’ top 5 priorities at a hotel, we also find the option of free parking—which is very important, especially in certain areas where it’s impossible to park.
As an additional note, the most sought-after spaces are the restaurant, followed by the parking lot, the pool, and the spa. The least important are, in this order, the business spaces, the gym, and the bar.
With these criteria in mind, a hotel manager should make the necessary changes to ensure that these criteria are prioritized at their hotel.
